You can access cases by drilling down through anatomy and pathology categories. While browsing categories, you will only be allowed to see those cases which are accessible to you. This includes cases you own and cases that are public. Cases which are private will be hidden from view.
You may drill down to cases by Anatomy and Pathology categories.
- Click on the Cases tab to see a list of Anatomy
Categories.

To the right of each category is a number in parentheses, specifying the total number of accessible cases under that category. The "Other" category lists cases which do not match any of the predefined categories. The "All" category lists all cases by pathology, regardless of anatomy. If there are no accessible cases under a particular category, that category is omitted from the list.
- Click on one of the Anatomy categories to see a list of Pathology
Categories under that anatomy. For example, here we have
clicked on "Skeletal System":

To the right of each pathology subcategory is a number in parentheses, specifying the total number of accessible cases under that category. The "All" category lists all cases matching the anatomy, regardless of pathology. If there are no cases under a particular category, that category is omitted from the list.
- Click on one of the Pathology subcategories to see a list
of cases matching both the anatomy and pathology. For example,
here we have clicked on "Trauma" under "Skeletal System":

For each case in the list, an abstract is displayed showing the title, case number, patient demographics, number and modality of images, history, diagnosis, author, and date created or last edited. Some of these fields are hidden if you are in Training Mode. Case abstracts are ordered by date, but search results can be re-ordered using the drop down menu on the right of the screen.
- Click on one of the cases abstracts to see the full case
view:

Notice the breadcrumb trail above the case title showing the full path to the case. Clicking on any of the links in the breadcrumb trail will take you back to the category listing. Clicking on the Prev and Next links will cycle through the cases in the list.
The case view is a tabs based display showing all fields associated with the case, including patient history, images and captions, findings, diagnosis, discussion, and references. If there is no text for a particular field then the corresponding tab title is greyed out. You can also enter and view previous comments left by users who have visited the case. The About tab section on the far right includes the case number, date that the case was last updated, anatomy and pathology categories, modalities, exam date, access level, keywords, list of folders case containing the case, the number of times the case has been viewed, and a link to send an email pointing to the case.
*To view a case using the classic viewer click the "Switch to Classic version of viewer" link at the bottom of the page. For previous interface see Classic Case Viewer.See also: Viewing Images, Using Training Mode, Posting a Comment.
