| Training Mode | |||||
| Training Mode enables you to use MyPACS as a teaching tool: This feature allows viewers to see information in stages from which they can be asked to give a diagnosis or to provide pertinent observations regarding the case. The Training Mode feature is not case specific, so if you have the Training Mode 'on', every case you view will be in the 'View as Unknown' stage until you turn the Training Mode 'off'. You can change the mode at any time. The Training Mode affects the abstracts of each case as well as the case view. | |||||
|
Training Mode affects abstract presentation: When the Training Mode is 'ON'
the case abstracts do not reveal the Case Title as well as the Diagnosis.
When the Training Mode is 'OFF' both are displayed, along with case number,
patient, number and type of images, case author, date entered and history.
Training Mode ON: Training Mode OFF: How to turn Training Mode 'ON': Case View when Training mode is 'ON': If the Training Mode is on and you open a case you will see a box above the case number that displays the 3 Training Mode stages. MyPACS defaults to the first stage, 'View as Unknown' with links to stage 2, 'Reveal Findings and Captions' and stage 3, 'Reveal Full Case' to the right. There are some cases that do not have Findings and Captions, so MyPACS will not display the stage 2 link. The three stages serve as a logical progression for using the case as a teaching tool but you do not have to view the case in the Training Mode sequence. Training Mode stages: Reveal information by clicking the 'Reveal Findings & Captions' link, and view the full case by clicking 'Reveal Full Case'
