  Horizon Study Share Server

The Horizon Study Share Server is a fully equipped PC configured with the Teaching File Management software, pre-installed and ready to run. When the Server is plugged in to your local area network, authorized users can immediately begin creating cases from any computer within your firewall. The Server comes with a high-speed relational database, custom content management system, standard web server, and an image repository that has the capacity to store up to 20,000 teaching files.  Horizon Study Share is a purely web-based application, so it can be accessed from every computer on your network, regardless of platform. There is no client software to install, because teaching files are created and shared through standard web browsers.

The Enterprise Server has all the benefits of the free version, plus the following PREMIUM FEATURES:

Custom Categories and Attributes. The Case Manager will allow cases to be organized and retrieved according to a custom hierarchy of categories specified by your institution. You may also specify additional attributes to be attached to cases. These attributes will become part of the case authoring, editing, querying, and viewing interfaces. Patient identifiers and accession numbers can be included, and access to these fields will be regulated and monitored in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Click for Screen Shot

Group-Level Access Control. Access to cases and folders can be regulated at the level of user-defined groups. Users may create new groups and assign membership to those groups. Each case or folder may be designated as readable or writable by a particular group. Click for Screen Shot

Case Certification. Users who are designated as “official reviewers” will be able to certify cases when they have been peer-reviewed for accuracy and quality. General users will have the option of filtering out uncertified cases. Click for Screen Shots

Cross-server Publication.  For sharing with colleagues outside the firewall, cases may be published to MyPACS.net or any other registered Horizon Study Share installation on the Internet. Click for Screen Shots

User Management. The system keeps track of user login information, passwords, and sessions. Administrator account enables authorized personnel to edit any case, reset passwords, and monitor user access. Click for Screen Shot

HIPAA Compliance. Cases may store patient identifiers and exam numbers, which will be encrypted and visible only to the authenticated case author. All access will be logged, and audit reports can be generated by the administrator at any time, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Click for Screen Shot

Custom Branding. Institution may customize the look-and-feel of the application, and use their own banner on every page. Click for Screen Shot

Backup Facilities. Case data and files are backed up daily to a specified destination on the local network, from which they can be copied to tape or backed up according to the institution’s standard backup procedure. Click for Screen Shots
