Never visited SYNOVIAL CYST IN LUMBAR SPINE L3-L4 AND DISC HERNIATION L5-S1

Patient: 55 year old female
History: 55 year old female with back pain irradiated along the sciatic nerve to her left foot.

Findings:

Extramedullar extradural mass that arises from left L3-L4 degenerated facet joint provoking mass effect upon the thecal sac.

Herniated disc L5-S1 posterolateral stenosing lateral recess (probably affecting left S1 root nerve).

Diagnosis:

Synovial cyst in facet joint or ganglion.

Disc herniation L5-S1 with lateral recess stenosis upon the left S1 nerve root.
