Findings:

X-ray examination shows diffuse spondylosis deformans of the endplates more pronounced right anterolateral aspect of the lumbar spine levels. There is degenerative type scoliosis lumbar spine. Prominent diffuse disc space narrowing with degenerative endplate irregularity. Facet arthropathy is present as well resulting in neural foraminal encroachment especially at L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1. There are no acute compression fractures but there are mild compression deformities in the thoracolumbar region accentuating the thoracolumbar junction kyphosis. The soft tissues do not show any abnormal masses or calcifications.

Diagnosis:

1. SPONDYLOSIS DEFORMANS OF THE LUMBAR SPINE.

2. DIFFUSE DISC SPACE NARROWING WITH FACET ARTHROPATHY RESULTING IN NEURAL FORAMINAL ENCROACHMENT MOST PRONOUNCED AT L4-L5 AND L5-S1.

3. MILD CHRONIC COMPRESSION DEFORMITIES WITH APPROXIMATELY 10% LOSS OF VERTEBRAL BODY HEIGHT OF T11, T12 AND L1.
