never visited CHRONIC VENOUS STASIS WITH CHRONIC PERIOSTITIS

History:

80 y/o male with leg swelling and history of cirrhosis.

Diagnosis: Chronic venous stasis (note varicosities) with chronic periostitis (thick, well defined along tibial shaft).
Discussion: DDX could include hypertrophic osteoarthropathy with the history of chronic liver disease, but he lacked the classic clinical findings and the process was unilateral in this extremity.
