History: 20 something y.o. male who presents to ER s/p GSW to abdomen. Plain abdominal film is taken followed by injection of IV contrast. Repeat film is taken in O.R.

Findings: Initial image demonstrates bullet fragment. Second image demonstrates bilateal functioning kidneys. Then s/p bullet removal, with drain.
Diagnosis: Bilateral renal function intact.
Discussion: Exam was performed to verify functioning of at least one kidney, if one must be removed at surgery. Not an evaluation of collecting systems.
