We've been busy taking your suggestions on how to improve MyPACS.net, and we are proud to announce the release of the following new features: Improved Case Navigation and Sharing VISIT TRACKER. See at a glance which cases you've previously viewed and which ones are new. AUTOMATIC CROSS-REFERENCING. If you mention another case in your discussion (e.g. "This case is similar to Case 834940"), the text automatically becomes a hyperlink to the referenced case. CASE EMAILING. Email cases to colleagues with a single click. RSNA MIRC SUPPORT. Use MIRC to export or import cases from other teaching file systems. For example, users of Radpix presentation software can publish teaching files to MyPACS using the MIRC interchange format. AUTHOR LOOKUP. Use the Advanced Search form to look up cases contributed by your friends and colleagues by matching on their name or institution. FEATURED COLLECTIONS. In addition to the "Case of the Week", you can browse featured collections from some of the best radiology educators. This month's featured collections include a comprehensive pediatric curriculum that organizes cases into a hierarchy of over 600 disease categories, as well as hundreds of new cases contributed by radiologists at the University of Washington and UC Davis. Improved Search FASTER RESULTS. Searching is now up to 300% faster, thanks to page batching and improved database indexing. RELEVANCE-RANKED RESULTS. The MyPACS query processor orders your search results based on relevance to your search term, using an intelligent ranking algorithm, so you can find what you're looking for faster. USER-CONTROLLED SORTING. You can change the ordering of your search results to be sorted by relevance, date, author, status, title, or case number. EXPANDED SEARCH CAPABILITIES. You can now search on additional fields such as image captions and user-contributed comments. Improved Case Workflow MULTIPLE-IMAGE UPLOADS. Now upload entire folders of images with a single click. Progress bar lets you know how much time is left for the upload to complete. DICOM CONNECTIVITY. Authorized users can push studies from PACS or modality directly to the teaching file server. Email us to request access to this new feature. BROWSER-BASED DICOM VIEWER. Use your web browser to scroll through image stacks, adjust windows/levels, and select images for case presentation with a single click. HTML Editor. Sophisticated HTML editor allows you to easily control fonts, add hyperlinks, and format tables within your cases. Coming soon! Improved Case Management CASE COUNTS. When viewing a list of folders, you can now see how many cases are contained within each folder and all its subfolders, without having to click on them. FOLDER BACK-LINKS. From within any case, you can see a list of all the folders that reference it (under "Additional Details"). BATCH CASE MANAGEMENT. You can now use folders to manage properties of multiple cases at once. For example, you can change all the contents of a folder from Private to Public. FOLDER HIERARCHY IMPORTER. You can quickly create an entire hierarchy from a tab-delimited list, making it easy to import your own structured organization system. | ||||||
